Imprisoned Belarusian oppositionist, Sergei Kavalenka does not receive correspondence.

It is already the second week that the wife of a political prisoner Aliona Kavalenka do not receive letters from her husband. As Aliona Kavalenka says:

“There is a problem with letters. Our mutual friend told me that he also wrote to Sergei, and did not get any response. Sergei does not receive letters from either friends nor relatives. Our lawyer is trying to explain this situation.”

Kavalenka is serving a sentence of 2 years and one month of imprisonment in the colony in Mogilev for breach of the house arrest conditions.
