40 people were called to witness in the case of Zmicer Dashkievich

The trial over Zmicer Dashkievich, the leader of the Young Front, is scheduled on August 28. He is accused in a criminal case, and faces another year in prison.

Dashkievich’s trial is private, the hearing will be held in the colony in Glubokoje, where he is serving a sentence. Dashkevich was arrested on December 18, 2010, and sentenced to two years in prison for alleged hooliganism. Lately criminal case was initiated against him for insubordination to the administration of the correctional facility.

According to Nasta Palazanka, the Deputy Chairman of the “Young Front” and privately fiancée of Dashkievich,  40 people were called to witness in his case. Among them mainly police officers and other prisoners. However, it is not known whether during the trial there will testify any defense witness. Dashkievich refused the right to defend, as he believes that the process is unfair.
