Aleh Hnyedchyk

Born on 22 November 1986. In 2003-2005, he was repeatedly arrested and convicted for his activities as a member of the Young Front youth movement. During the 2010 presidential election, he  was a member of election campaign team of  Uladzimir Niklajeu.

Chronicle of repression

In July 2003, when Aleh Hnyedchyk was still a minor he was detained for dissemination of the Young Front leaflets in Minsk. He was beaten by militia officers.

In 2006, Aleh was sentenced to 12 days of arrest for involvement in the post-election protest in Minsk.

Detained on 6 January 2011 for taking part in 19 December 2010 rally. Released on 9 January. On  25 March, officially charged under the art. 293 of the Criminal Code (mass riot). Was kept in custody in the pre-trial prison in Valadarski Street. On 14 May he was sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment. He was released on amnesty on 2 September 2011.
