Political prisoner, chairman of the Human Rights Сentre Viasna Ales Bialiatski even during his imprisonment is interested in the creation and operation of an Internet archive “Vytoki.” Before his arrest he was one of the initiators of the project.
Ales Bialiatski in a letter to human rights defender Yelena Laptjonak calls for public support for this project. He found information about the project in newspapers he receives.
– Ales was glad to see information about “Vytoki” because this virtual social archive is a joint initiative of Viasna, Dyjapyjusha, the Assembly and Supolnasc. Ales made a lot of efforts for this website to start working. And asks everyone to support it. We are interested in everything that concerns the events that took place in Belarus and what was going on around them, letters, photographs, advertisements, protocols, resolutions, leaflets, underground publications, memories – said Ms. Yelena.
As Yelena Laptjonak added, it is important that the materials which people keep would not die with the passage of time, and they should be archivized .
