A new criminal case has been initiated against former political prisoner Uladzimir Jaromienak.
The decision to open new criminal proceedings was adopted on 24 May. However, Mr. Jaromienak was not informed about it until 14 July, gives Radio Svaboda.
The Young Front activist Uladzimir Jaromienak was arrested in the mass disorders case in January 2011. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison. He served his term in a correctional colony near Vitesbk until his pardon in August 2011.
On March 15, 2013, the Minsk’s Court extended the police supervision over him.
A new criminal case was initiated on 12 July against another activist involved in the December 19 case, Vasily Parfiankou. Parfiankou was summoned to the Pershamaiski district police department and told that the third criminal case for violating the rules of preventive supervision will be started against him.
