December 5, a member of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Andrei Haidukou was released from jail after ten-days’ arrest. Then he was brought Navapolatsk City Court and sentenced to 5 more days of arrest under Article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, “violation of the rules of organization and conduct of mass events”.
Andrei’s mother saw him just for 20 minutes. According to the coordinator of the organizing committee of the BCD in Vitsebsk region Tatsiana Seviarynets, Andrei is ill: he is coughing and has a sore throat.
Let us remind that Andrei Haidukou was detained for handing out leaflets in Navapolatsk on November 21 and in Polatsk on November 24. November 25, he was sentenced to ten days of arrest for one of these actions.
