Activists from Berezov visited Paval Sieviaryniets. Their monthly visits to political prisoners have become a tradition. They brought him food, bottled water and postcards from people taking part in the “Week of a political prisoner.”

Paval Sieviaryniets is very grateful to those who support him and others imprisoned for political reasons, but believes that a more concerted effort is needed to release political prisoners:

– The cards will convince police or guards carrying them that the political prisoners are not forgotten. The phenomenon of solidarity arises when a group of people sits together and signs these postcards. I have to thank them for this activity! But the pressure and the campaign to bring about the release of political prisoners is of course another thing. It has a different scale and size of operation. It should be a number of campaigns, tens and hundreds of thousands of distributed information, pickets, creative happenings that in the current situation, are possible – said Mr. Sieviaryniets.

According to Paval Sieviaryniets, massive pressure on the regime concerning the political prisoners should be exerted from inside Belarus. And this is, unfortunately, not observed.
